Students of any background can get involved in a variety of events on the American University Campus, and through the neighboring National United Methodist Church

UMSA meets at 5pm, typically in the AU Lounge at National UMC (pictured bottom right) with fellowship dinner a rotation of activities that include Bible studies, group discussions, games, service projects, student worship, and more! Events periodically also take place in the Kay Spiritual Life Center, where UMSA is represented by Rev. Dr. Rachel Livingston in one of their community offices. UMSA also works with Kay staff and other religious organizations within Kay to get involved in AU's religious and campus life.

UMSA also hosts other social events for students including Welcome Week events like Night Monumenting and Mocktails with Methodists, or an Egg Hunt on the quad near Easter!

AU students also attend National UMC services (at the Metropolitan Memorial Campus) on Sunday mornings - check out their current schedule here. Students also participate in other church-wide events like Pumpkin Night or the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at National UMC, allowing students to get involved with both the DC and NUMC communities. Some students also choose to get involved with National UMC by joining the church choir or volunteering with the church.
